How long in advance should I place my order?

You can request a delivery date for an order up to 7 days prior to your special event/occasion. If you have a lot of preparation to do, we advise that you schedule it for 2-3 days before your event so there’s time for your flowers to hydrate, get prepped, and open to the perfect stage.

Something has come up! Can I change my order?

We get it, life is a little crazy. We can modify an existing order if we receive notice within 7 days of the delivery date. Once an order has shipped, we cannot modify it. If you wish to make changes to your order before the 7 day limit, please send an e-mail to info@samisachaflowers.com, with the subject heading CHANGE TO ORDER # and the order number in question.

In the body of the email, please include your order number along with your name, address, contact information and changes you would like to make. You will receive a verification email of the changes made to your order within 7 business days.

Sunflowers drink more than anything else we ship. Plan for it and they will last.

Cut two inches off each stem at an angle and strip every leaf below the waterline. The stems are hairy and they dirty water quickly, so start with a clean vase and plenty of cool water with flower food.

Check the water level daily, not every other day. A sunflower can empty a vase overnight, and a dry stem is what causes the head to droop.

Change the water and re-cut every two days. The heads are heavy, so give tall arrangements something to lean on.

Recommended Delivery Date: 2 days before your event / Keep flowers away from excessive heat.

A sunflower sets the scale of whatever it goes into, so decide early whether it is the focal point or not. There is no halfway with this flower.

The heads are heavy and the stems drink hard. In a tall vase give them something to lean against, and keep the water topped up daily, which is what prevents the droop people blame on the flower.

Plays well with solidago, mums and eucalyptus.
