Our Roots

Sami Sacha is a collective of flower farms united by a passion for cultivating the best flowers in the kindest way. The term "Sami Sacha" means "mountain spirit" in Quichua, and it reflects the culture of the Cotopaxi region of Ecuador where the vision for the company first took root. To us, that spirit is about creativity, a community-driven ethos, and profound respect for nature.

Planet-friendly farming

Our farms are mindful that we’re just guests that Mother Nature has graciously invited to the party. From composting and recycling to a rainwater irrigation system, we do our part. Our farms are Fair Trade certified or undergoing the rigorous process of becoming Fair Trade certified. This means that we are vetted by a third party that holds us to the highest standards for eco-friendly farming, fair wage policies, and community empowerment projects.

Make beauty not waste.

45 percent of the flowers harvested in the floral industry are never sold. Stores purchase and hold onto more inventory than they can sell, and most flowers decompose before they’re bought. With our harvest-on-demand business model, we’re able to eliminate that waste.
